OUTDOOR FOOD- FRIDAY SHOOT OUT

Philippine cuisine is Malayo-Polynesian in origin with predominant Hispanic base. It has received varying degrees of influence from Chinese, American and other Asian cuisine. Today, Philippine cuisine continues to evolve in techniques, and style of cooking dishes, in both traditional Filipino, and modern cuisines. Fast food is also popular here.

We Filipinos have tradition that exhibit festivities. It is known as Barrio fiestas(district festivals). The said celebration is to commemorate the patron saints. During this festivity, everyone is welcome to visit and join the celebration. There are native and modern menus prepared for visitors. In this feast Filipinos are known for being hospitable. In the city, there's food festival in the street at nighttime. People get and eat together.

I was with my office mate and his fellow bikers during Dumaguete week celebrated every November.

We visited Trappist Monastery in Guimaras island. We had lunch with a monk.

This is a memory of a special friend. We had a romantic dinner under the moon and stars.

This post is in connection with the FRIDAY- MY TOWN SHOOT OUT. The theme is OUTDOOR FOOD assigned by GirliChef of Indiana.

Great food shots. Sounds like you had a nice meal under the stars.
