POSTCARD FRIENDSHIP FRIDAY- ANNE GEDDES

It's Friday again! I am always thrilled to see different postcards around the world through Postcard Friendship Friday.

Since I joined postcrossing, I've just noticed that Europeans really love sending and receiving postcards. That's why almost all the postcards I received were from European countries. This cute postcard is one of those card and it came from Finland, sent by Holi.

The photo of a cute baby was taken by Anne Geddes. She has won the hearts of people all over the world with her unique images of children. The Australian-born photographer, who now lives in Aukland, New Zealand, has won many international awards for her work. Her work mirrors the joy and love found in children who are the future of the planet. Anne Geddes' photography is also available from Artimedes on mini and maxiposters and prints.

I'm wondering if that is supposed to represent and angel on top of a Christmas tree?

Interesting. It's true, but why would Europeans love to send postcards so much?

I never knew what people were talking about when they mentioned Anne Geddes cards, until I noticed a rack of them in a local shop just yesterday. And now you have illustrated it! :)

PostCrossing started in Portugal, perhaps that's why there are so many Europeans.
