THE DIFFERENT HAIRCUT AND HAIRSTYLES

Hairstyle, hairdo or haircut adds a glow of ones looks. It also expresses the personality of a person. The fashioning of hair can be considered an aspect of personal grooming, fashion and cosmetics. We used to follow the hairstyle of celebrities. They are the models of fashion.

THE NOTABLE HAIRCUT AND HAIRSTYLES:

AFRO- sometimes called a natural. It is a hairstyle that “Ethan Afro” from Groveton invented. It’s the trend of Lauryn Noel Hill who is a Grammy Award-winning American singer, rapper, musician, songwriter, producer, and a film actress. The Philippines version is Led Sobrepena III who is one of the house singers of Singing Bee.

A FRINGE or BANGS is a shaped cutting of the front part of the hair so that it is combed forward and hangs or curls over the forehead. The term bangs is widely used in North America. Bangs is the trend since last year until now. A lot of celebrities have bangs.

BOB CUT
- is a short haircut in which a weighted area is left to fall between the ears and chin. It was created in 1909 in Paris by the hairdresser Antoine and was inspired by “Luana Cowley”. It’s Gretchen Barretto’s latest hairstyle.

A BUN
is a type of hairstyle, typically worn by women. It is also known as “ballet bun because this hairstyle is used by nearly all female ballet dancers.

BUZZ CUT is the American haircut named after the sound of the electric razor. In United Kingdom, the haircut is called a skinhead. In the Philippines it’s called semi for semi-kalbo, bald in Spanish. In Singapore it is often called a “GI” In Australia the haircut is usually called a “crewcut”.

COMB OVER- Hair that is combed from one part of the head to another often to cover up a bald spot. Many relate this hair style to Donald Trump, shown to the left.

EVANSTYLE- Hairstyle that is famous amongst visual kei fans.

FLATTOP- A man's haircut where the hair is cut with a razor but left longer than a buzz cut and appears to be flat on the head.

FRENCH BRAID- A French braid is a braid that appears to be braided "into" the hair. Many describe it as making a braid backwards.

HIME CUT- It is long straight hair that goes to at least below the shoulder blades with part of it cut to about shoulder length and bangs that go to the eyebrows.

LAYERED HAIR- A woman's hairstyle where different sections of the front hair are cut at different lengths to give the impression of layers.

LONG HAIR- Hair that is grown out long (at or past the shoulders) and worn loose.

MOHAWK- Hair that is shaved or buzzed on the sides leaving a strip of hair in the middle. It is often spiked up. That's Alex, ex housemate of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Plus.

MULLET- Hair that is short in front and long in the back.

PIGTAILS- The hair that is parted down the middle and made into two pony tails on either side.

PONYTAIL -The hair that is pulled to the back of the head and often held with a hair tie or ribbon.

“THE RACHEL” -A layered haircut made popular by Friends star, Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green.

This is just a few of the many haircut and hairstyles. What’s your haircut or hairstyle?

wow. nice post. tamang-tama. I'm planning to have my hair cut tommorrow.

layered hair ko. It does look good when the tips are freshly cut, pero pag nagtagal, nakakainis. "fly-away" hair is the most disappointing part of having a layered hair.

magbago kaya ako ng hairstyle. thanks for this post!

(:

I've tried that Mohawk hairdo before pero not that extreme na walang hair sa sides. If you guys could remember the young dancers in ASAP before when this hair was so popular 3-4 years back, ganun din yung hair ko. I still have a picture of that. LOL.

Nakakatawa nga kasi hindi ako sanay magayos ng buhok ko so everytime I come to class, I would always ask my friend to style it.

Oo, baka bibisitahin nila ako @ Ron.

Oo @ KJ. PAgunting ka? lol. Ano da pagcelebrate sang Halloween sa UK?

RedLan said...

Show mo nga @ Jowell. Buti may remembrance ka sa mohawk haurcut mo. Maganda naman ang buhok mo kaya pwede namang hindi maayos. Brown color yan?

This is a nice post. I currently have "the Rachel cut". I've been thinking of doing a Bohemian look because of the Twilight characters. Lol. But I'm afraid to have my hair colored. Btw, dropping by from Blue Rose's blog.

Everyone has their favorite way of using the internet. Many of us search to find what we want, click in to a specific website, read what’s available and click out. That’s not necessarily a bad thing because it’s efficient. We learn to tune out things we don’t need and go straight for what’s essential.
