Crying is a very strong emotion. It is an emotional expression. People cry when they are feeling so sad or very happy. Before babies can speak, they only way for them to express frustration, pain, fear or need is to cry. Children also cry for the same reasons but usually they are either physically or emotionally hurt. Adults cry to express worry, joy, grief and sadness, Crying is the way of showing support and to give comfort to others. Sometimes people cry for no reason at all. Generally, most people can cry but not all people do cry.
I've read that there are three types of tears that generate by the human eye. Basal tears protect the eye and keep it moist. Reflex tears flush out the eye when it becomes irritated. And the emotional tears flow in response to happiness, sadness, distress or physical pain.
There are also traditionally reasons for crying in a real situation such as @ funerals or weddings. The dramatic actor can cry just by thinking about a sad situation or experience. Crying ladies are being paid to cry. But it's the viewers who are affected most. We use to be carried away of the crying scenes in the show or movie we are watching.
I seldom cry whether in a real situation or on T.V. & movies. I always control my emotion. I feel, once my tears start to flow, it flows continuously and I can't stop it. I prefer not to show that I am crying. However this month, someone made me cry. A 30 year old woman who has a renowned beauty; a dutiful daughter; a committed supporter; an honorary sister; a co-mother and a faithful girlfriend. She was PLONING. (haha)
I can guarantee that PLONING -the movie is a unique movie I've ever seen. It was surreal and so natural. It's the only movie that made me cry. The particular scene wherein her father and a 6 year old boy had a conversation and he said, "Whatever happens, she's still my daughter." Ploning was quiet and shed a tear behind them. Back then, I cried because one I hated my own father. I cried for one reason, I just cleansed my eyes (kidding aside). So weeping after the movie doesn't mean you are a total wuss. It simply means that you are behaving like a normal human being. Afterall, I realized that being emotional isn't a bad thing. Actually, it shows a much stronger person who can express his/her true feelings without fear of what others may think.
