in the tune of stars, stars, stars... awards!

When we say of star, it is a massive, luminous ball of plasma. Stars group together to form galaxies and they dominate the visible universe. And when we see stars, pinangarap natin maging isa sa kanila(isa na ako dyan at si Fjordan). Sabay-sabay na kinakanta natin ito noong nursery tayo. “Twinkle, twinkle little star….”Kung makakita tayo ng falling star, nagwi-wish tayo. Ito ang nakaugalian nating noong mga bata pa tayo. May mga pangalan ang mga stars. Tulad ng Betelgeuse na isang red supergiant star, the Crab Nebula at ang sun ang pinakamalapit na star sa mundo.

Napaisip tuloy ako kung ano ang buhay ng isang star. May mga time din ban a nawawala ang ningning nito tulad ng kanta ni Sharon na Bituing Walang Ningning? Dito sa lupa may tinatawag din na mga stars. Ang buhay nila ay mahirap abutin. Tulad ni Judy Ann Santos na tinaguriang young superstar. Siya ay naging kaibigan ng mega star na si Sharon Cuneta na kapanahonan ng diamond star na si Maricel Soriano na naging karibal ng star for all seasons na si Vilma Santos kay Edu Manzano. Si Vilma na mainit ang labanan kay superstar Nora Aunor. Sila ang mga stars na ang narating sa kani-kanilang sariling karir.

Maswerte siguro ang maging isang star, sa langit man o ditto sa lupa. Kaya kahit pangalan ng mga produkto o pangalan ng bagay ay kinakabitan ng STAR. Tulad ng:

* STAR MARGARINE- mabitaminang pagkain
* STAR CINEMA- movie production
* STAR MAGIC- Talent Agency
* STAR CIRCLE QUEST- the talent reality search
* The Philippine STAR- the newspaper
* STAR AWARDS- award giving body
* STARSTUDIO- entertainment magazine
* STAR RECORDS- recording company

Speaking of star wards, nakatanggap ako nito sa blogworld from one of my sweetest and helpful blogfriends ba si Mel. Kelangan ko pa bang mag-speech? - SPEECH OF ACCEPTANCE. Dahil sa award na ito, nagkaroon ako ng ideya na magsulat about sa star at magbigay rin ng star awards. May maituturing din kasi ako na mga stars ditto sa blogworld na nagbigay ng ningning sa aking buhay ditto sa blogworld. Kaya may handog ako para sa kanila na mga star bloggers at ito ay ang star awards.

Everything is red(Hindi lang sa kasal may motif) Walang kokontra, blog ko ‘to. The red carpet, red ribbon, red roses, red envelope. Basta something red.

REDLAN: I am your host for tonight’s special event kaya expect na magta-taglish ako. Hindi kasi nag-respond ‘yung ibang celebrities na inimbita ko upang magrepresent ng awardsHindi naman nila kinonfirm kung dadalo sila o hindi. So let’s start the ball rolling. Ang unang awardee ay hindi ko lubusang kilala. Hindi kasi siya nagsubmit ng personal info. Pero she’s nice to everybody. Tahimik na bata pero may tinatagong talento. Especially sa pagsulat. Without further ado, I want to give this award to THE QUIET BUT NICE STAR. Btw, may dalawang importanteng tao na babati sa’yo. Please watch the video.

ANGELINA JOLIE- Sorry I can’t attend the award’s night and represent the award to you because you know, it’s risky to travel abroad and I am taking care of my kids and Brad. Congratulations anyways!

TATAY: Anak, I’m proud of you! Ipagpatuloy mo lang yan. Andito lang ako.

REDLAN:Ang susunod nating awardee ay isang huwarang manggagawa. At ang magpresent ng award sa kanya ay isang huwarang pinuno. I will give the red mic to our President, her excellency GMA!

GMA: Magandang gabi sa inyong lahat! Unang-una, hindi ako pumunta dito upang humingi ng pabor. Ako ang magbigay ng pabor no. Hindi ako makatanggi dahil ang bibigyan ko ng award…. Sorry hindi niya kailangan ang isang milyon no. Siya ay isang mabuting empleyado ko sa malacañang. Napaka-hard working na bata no. I have the honor to present this award to THE STAR EMPLOYEE.

PROFESSOR ANONYMOUS: Ang award na ito ay para sa isang Inofrmation Technology graduate. Siya ay iscolar ng DOST. Naging DOST SA CITE President noong 2006-2007. DOST SA CEBU Board of Director. Former Supreme Student Government President and former CAT Col.. He is the IT STAR.

PROFESSOR ANONYMOUS: He is a Physics Teacher. He was the Editor-in-Chief and Web Administrator of OMNIANA, the official student publication. He is quite knowledgeable in Journalism. He loves taking pictures. He is hardworking. He is THE INTELLIGENT STAR.

PROFESSOR ANONYMOUS: I don’t know much about this guy. He is very smart all I know especially in case to case basis. AM I d CaUSe? He is THE BRAINY STAR.

THE PREACHER: The next awardee is a typical, nothing so much special individual. A young professional who is constantly searching to where his heart belongs in this chaotic world. A man of few words, no frills. A comtemplative looking for the profound meaning of life. He is THE STAR IN SEARCH.

THE PREACHER(again)- She is the contemporary of the star in search. She chose to stand for her generation and stepped out in her comfort zone- to be a servant of her Master, to be a faithful machine f her Inventor, to follow the way of her Leader, to love her First & Last Love, to belong in Kingdom of her Father, to praise God, to introduce her unreachable friends to Christ and live for His purpose forever. She is THE STAR OF GOD.

ANGEL LOCSIN: He is a Mangyan Blogger. Like me he is not afraid of everything if he thinks he is right. He is THE FEARLESS STAR.

ANGELIKA PANGANIBAN- He is a peculiar kid. Sometimes serious, sometimes comical. He is somewhat serious and formal in his ways but inside him lies a typical youngster who shrieks and giggles whenever amused or pleased. What’s funny about this guy is the way he walks, it’s very unusual. A born challenger and a brain cracker. Believe me, he is THE WARM AND FRIENDLY STAR.

BLOG WIZARD: This guy is very intelligent and smart with a lot of ideas. A keen thinker. He knows almost everything. A computer expert. He is THE SMART STAR.

BLOG WIZARD(again)- He is a computer expert too. He is very helpful and willing to share what he know. On the other side, he like to watch anime especially those with lots of fan service. He also watch some asian dramas because of pretty actresses. He is THE SMART CHINESE STAR.

FHM SEXY MODELS: (Sila ay sabay-sabay sa pagpresent ng next award). Sinu-sino nga ba ang mga friends ni Lotlot sa palabas na Lotlot and Friends? Hmmm.... Ang next awardee ay mahilig sa amin, sa tennis, EA, kay Sarah, Cedie, Mojacko at iba pa. Siya ang STAR NG KATUWAAN!

RIZA SANTOS: Siya ay tina… tinatakwil(pilit ang tagalong kasi English speaking) ng Planet Puto. Napunta sa piling ng Diyos, nagloko at naging gago kaya tini… tiniwa… tiniwalag nila. Ngayon isa siyang ex-alien/ex-angel sa mundo ng tao. He is recently living in Pasig City. He is THE EX-ALIEN/EX-ANGEL STAR.

“Riza”(may narinig na boses)

RIZA: “Po?”

PINOY BIG BROTHER: Pinayagaan kitang makalabas sa bahay ko. Pero alam mo naman ang isa sa mga rules ko. Kung lumagpas ka sa itinakdang oras, hindi ka na ulit makakapasok sa bahay ko. Kaya bumalik ka na. Ang kiss na inilaan mo para sa future husband mo ay i-reserve mo na lang hanggang makalabas ka ng pormal sa bahay ko. Mauna ka na at magrepresent pa ako ng susunod na award.”

PINOY BIG BROTHER(again)- Siya ay isa sa mga sikat na Pinoy. Hari ng dance floor. Swerte sa karir at sa lovelife. Hindi na ako magpaligoy-ligoy pa. Ikinagalak kong i-present ang award na ‘to sa DANCING STAR.

MILLA JOVOVICH- She is Sandra Marie Llaneras. She love Ilokano dishes and culture. She was born and raised in the scenic plains and beautiful beaches of Bauang, La Union. She is THE ACTIVE STAR. Congratulations!

REDLAN: Thanks Ms. Milla Jovovich for coming over. The next award is for THE ALL AROUND STAR. Why is it all around? Because she is a worker, officemate, trainee, daughter, friend, sister and girlfriend type of girl.
