I admit, I don't like the city views before. It is because I can't see the overall view of the sky above. Big and tall buildings block the beauty of the clear sky at night surrounded by stars and the full moon. Awoooooo! Kidding. Until when I was looking for nice city views to shoot for this week's photo assignment theme "skylines" (by Kate) that I appreciate the beauty of the city.

I was having the same thoughts as you. I didn't really appreciate all the beauty within the city until I started looking for things to shoot for this week.
I really like your photo of Gaisano City. The sky is so pretty and the reflection in the water is so colorful.
Urban zoning here in the Philippines makes it hard sometimes for us to appreciate what's out there. Power lines haphazardly set up with the establishments make for bad photography sometimes although there are locations that are great-looking. I'm sure you'll have a field day taking shots in Manila when you visit here. It's interesting to see an SM building design that mimics the environment.
ganda ng iloilo plus I love the food. I wish makapunta ko dyan :)
Happy weekend Red
Jarielyn: You are right. That's why we love Friday Shoot Out.
Ramdon Student: Yung mga kuryente nga nakakasira sa ganda ng city views.
Jeanny: Punta ka dito. You will love it.
I felt the same way going into this week but have come out really grateful to see the skylines. You last shot is perfection.
I really like your pictures of the sky!
I was admiring the shots of the buildings until I came to the last two photos and realized how ugly even beautiful buildings are next to nature.
That last photo is astounding!

Nice sunset parang may sunog...hehehe!
I, too, was not enthused by this theme, until I opened my eyes and looked around me. That's what I love most about our Friday Shoot Outs, I'm constantly seeing things differently and this week am really enjoying visiting others' skylines. I especially loved your last two shots
