To all the kids around the world:
Do you believe in Santa? Have you ever received a gift from him the nigh before Christmas ? Sad to say I did not experience the Santa Claus tradition. I missed the excitement and the gifts from Santa Claus.
Santa Claus is also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle or simply Santa. He is the legendary and mythical figure who brings gifts to the homes of the good children during the late evening and overnight hours of Christmas eve. Unfortunately, we did not meet back in my childhood Christmas days. But I am lucky to receive an early Christmas gift not from the legendary Santa but from the real Santa.
The legendary Santa is generally depicted as a plump, jolly, white-bearded man wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots, the modern and real Santa wears his fave yellow scarf, chucks holding a Starbucks mug and flask. He is young, skinny, white and cleaned shaved with pouting lips and go to the gym twice a week because he is a part-time ad model.
The legendary Santa lives in the far north, in a land of perpetual snow with his wife Mrs. Santa, a countless number of magical elves, and nine reindeer as Christmas symbols, where they are called Dasher and Dancer, Prancer & Vixen, Comet & Cupid, Dunder & Blixem and Rudolph, the red-Nosed reindeer who joined the popular roll-call. While the modern and real Santa lives in UK with A and their 3 imaginary children named Husly, Zooey, and Fayre in an apartment complete of home and entertainment showcases including 2 laptops, a knife and more to mention.
The mythical figure Santa delivers presents, including toys, candy, and other gifts to all the good boys and girls in the world. He accomplishes this feat with the aid of the elves who make the toys in the workshop and the reindeer who pull his sleigh. On the other hand, real Santa sends the latest and hi-tech stuffs including laptops, mobile phones, watches, jewelries, branded clothes and chucks, knives, etc. He buy them in the leading London stores using his own money (not the people's money). He sends the gifts through royal mail. Not to mention he is part of the royal family. I called him a modern Santa because he has his own website (no need to write and send mails). And real one because he sends not the things you want but he surprise you by sending the things you like. BTW, he is a pure Filipino.
DEAR REAL SANTA:
Madamu gid nga slamat sa royal package. The so early Christmas gift really surprised me with much excitement that I was the last person who read it (mas excited ang mga officemates ko, sila pa nagbukas mong.) My officemates asked me kung kay sin-o naghalin, I told them the same answer kung makit-an nila ko gakadlaw tubang computer- the same person.
Reading your blog posts always makes me laugh out loud. I check it everyday and I can't forget The Curious Case of Brad Dedog and The Adventures of Dora the Rat and Amoeba the Spider that every time I feel down and depressed I think of the story and the images. And tada! :-) I will surely share your stories to my future modern children someday. But for now, I wish I am one of your imaginary children.
A dollar thanks!
(I named the Daisy clear Santa stamp, KJ (means Kiddie Joy. Sorry for the delay thank you post. I was into farming the whole month and just just back in the city. But finally this is it. I finally made it.)
