MAKE YOURSELF AMAZING

When I heard that Ugly Betty will be aired on local television in Filipino version, I was excited to watch it. It was good news for me because my favorite channel bought its right. It’s entitled I Love Betty La Fea. I am always excited following the said TV series especially that the latest episode has a lot of surprises. Betty will be undergone cosmetic surgery! I can’t wait to see the beautiful Betty then.

Nearly 11 million cosmetic surgeries were performed in the United States alone in 2006. Most of them are women who wanted to enhance their appearance through surgical and medical techniques. Cosmetic surgery is specifically concerned with maintaining normal appearance, restoring or enhancing it beyond the average level toward some aesthetic ideal. It refers to surgery that is designed to improve cosmetics alone. The common example of this is mammoplasty or breast surgery such as breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast lift. Breast augmentation or breast enlargement or “boob job” can involve either fat grafting, saline, or silicon gel prosthetics. It is initially performed to women with micromastia. On the other hand, breast reduction is the removal of skin and glandular tissue. It is indicated to reduce back and shoulder pain in women with gigantomastia. And breast lift is lifting or reshaping of breast to make them less saggy, often after weight loss or after a pregnancy. It involves removal of breast skin as opposed to glandular tissue.

Today, there is a grown number of patients seeking cosmetics surgery and have visited other countries to find expert, most experienced surgeons that offer affordable and lower finance package plus secure and safe service- that is MYA.

Breast augmentation is the way to go these days. A lot of celebrities have done it. The trend today is to offer it to ordinary folks.
