THE MOON ART

Moon is the MMM's theme this week. My artwork is made of felt paper. I actually missed to see the full moon and to hear the bamboos swaying in a silent night. I missed the hide-and-seek we used to play and the poem, "Look at the moon, it is shining out there. Oh mother, it looks like a comb in the air. ..."- They are one of my childhood memories.

Thanks for this week's challenge Marie.

This is a beautiful piece. Your bamboo is wonderful, and you description of playing in the bamboo at night is so sweet and sad. It made me miss my childhood, too.

My home is in south-western Australia which is not a tropical area but I grew up with bamboos in my backyard. My father cut them back regularly and used them for supports to grow climbing beans and to make a "cubby house" for me and my sister. I love your felt paper artwork. Fantastic.

love it red, the balance, the eerie nuance and the innocence - i feel like a child wandering through the skies of my grandmother's tales.

I love the way you did the bamboos, simple but beautiful; the dark background made the moon jumps out...so perfect! Excellent job, Redlan!
