PAYPAL & XOOM SERVICES

Mrs. T. is the one who introduced me to PayPal & Xoom. I am so thankful for her being so helpful. She is one of a kind indeed!

Paypal is the easiest way to pay and get paid online. It is safer that allows anyone to pay through credit card, bank account and more without sharing financial information. It enables global ecommerce by making payments possible across different locations, currencies, and languages. It was founded in 1998 and was acquired by eBay in 2002. Paypal is so useful to me. I can order and purchase stuffs online using my credit card without hassle.

On the other hand, Xoom is an online international money transfer service. Senders can fund their money transfer with PayPal, a credit card or bank account. The recipient can receive cash in local currency or U.S. dollars. It is secure, fast and inexpensive way to send money to friends, family and businesses. It is available in over 37 countries including Philippines. There are three ways to send and get money through Xoom, by pickup, door to door or directly deposit to a bank account. I enjoy using Xoom money transfer service.

Do you enjoy Paypal & Xoom services too?

I have dealt with Paypal for nearly 9 years and the changes that they have implemented this year, at the hands of ebay Inc.'s new CEO, have damage many users. This year, Paypal has amended their User Agreement several times including 21 to 180 days holds on users funds at (per their wording) Paypal's "sole discretion". The number of chargebacks/refunds that Paypal has removed from account holders and has given back to the purchasers in the last few months are alarming.

Paypal is not a bank and therefor is not subject to any of the laws governing such entities. This fact has allowed them to continue with actions that would otherwise have resulted in action against them IF they were a "bank".

Check out the comments left here in September alone:

The list goes on and on...I certainly would not accept payment through Paypal for any amount I would not be willing to lose.
