SOME REs TO APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIVES

Sometimes we can’t see the importance of a thing. We can only notice its importance when we need it. Like for example the plastic bags and plastic bottles. I am using them everyday but I don’t care about them but their content. Only yesterday I noticed their importance. I am a regular customer of National Bookstore. It is because I love collecting laid colored papers, colored pens and art books. Every time I purchase something, it is always with a red plastic bag. And it was just yesterday I noticed the campaign of National Bookstore about their red plastic bag. It is RED (for Reduce Earth’s Destruction). It is to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle the plastic bag. In the town of Sta. Barbara, people are not allowed to bring or use plastic bags within the town. While Iloilo Supermart gives rebates for those customers who reuse their plastic bags.

On the other hand, I also noticed the Gatorade bottle yesterday. I had hyper acidity that it ended to LBM. After I finished drinking the last bottle of three for a day, I noticed another set of RE words in its label. They are rehydrate, replenish and refuel. It asked: “What exactly does Gatorade do for active bodies?” “When you seat, you lose more than just water, Gatorade is scientifically formulated to help replace what you lose when you sweat by providing fluids and electrolytes to promote complete rehydration and cabs to refuel working muscles. Gatorade helps keep you going longer and stronger,” it answered its own question. And I just knew it is one of the PEPSI Products Philippines. By the way, one thing you should check before buying a product is its expiration date. (I usually trust supermarkets so I always forgot to check.) And last but not the least; you can sell the empty plastic bottles. Always be aware what we buy and what we eat or drink.

If you already have a mess of plastic bags at home, my friend taught me how to keep it well-organized. I know almost of you know it already. But in case you don’t know yet, here I repost the instructions:

a mess of plastic bags

press it neatly

fold it half twice

Form a triangle at one end. Do it repeatedly until you reach the other end.

insert the other end inside

now it is neat and organized. you save a space at the same time.

sus! call me bad but I have no patience for that! Usually I just throw those plastic bags in the bin when I get home.

Sometimes I put my head inside those bags and try to suffocate myself. lol.

Dont blame me for not trying to save the environment, but blame those factories who make those bags. sigh....

They're the ones who are bad, aint me.

wow. Galing. Every home must learn how to reuse plastic bags. Galing kapag nakafold, nakakengganyong mag-ipon ng plastic bag. Haha.

In SM supermarkets, they have this green bag they give away to their customers, thinking that it would ease out the prob about disposing plastic bags. It isn't effective, though. People would still use their yellow plastic bags, they are just too lazy to bring with them the green bag.

RedLan said...

Oo nga sa SM green bag @ Trizzz.
