First on my list of favorite cities is Rome. It is the capital city of Italy & Lazio. It is Italy’s largest and most populous city. It is located in the central-western portion of the Italian peninsula, on the Tiber River. Rome has a significant place in the story of Christianity up to the present day. It is the home of the papacy. It is a modern cosmopolitan city and the third most-visited tourist destination in the European Union today. Secondly, New York is the most populous city in the United States. It is located on the Atlantic coast of the Northeastern United States. New York is the largely unique among American cities for its high use of mass transit. The city is sometimes referred to as “The City That Never Sleep” due to its extensive 24-hour subway system and constant bustling of traffic and people. Third, Paris is the capital of France and the country’s largest city. It is one of the most populated metropolitan areas in Europe. Paris is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with over 30 million foreign visitors per year. There are numerous iconic landmarks among its many attractions, along with world-famous institutions and popular parks.
I love to visit Sydney too. It is the most populous city in Australia. It is the state capital of New South Wales. It was the site of the first British colony in Australia. It is noted for the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, and its beaches. It is one of the most multi cultural cities in the world. Sydney is Australia’s most expensive city and the 15th most expensive in the world. And also Melbourne is the second most populous city in Australia. It is referred to as Australia’s sporting and cultural capital. It has hosted multiple international conferences and events including the 1956 Summer Olympics and the 2006 Commonwealth Games. And last but not the least, London is the capital and the largest urban area of England and the United Kingdom. London boasts four World Heritage sites: The Palace of Westminster Abbey and St Margaret’s Church; The Tower of London; The historic settlement of Greenwich; and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The city is a major tourist destination both for domestic and overseas visitors.
