9/11

I have a compilation of emails over 300 pages from my friends around the world. I collected emails when I was hooked on online chat. I have a lot memories of it that it makes me smile every time I read them. But some emails made me sad especially the 9/11 email I received. As we can remember 9/11 was a series of coordinated suicide attacks by al-Qaeda upon the United States on September 11, 2001(7 years today).


Here's the email message that an American friend sent to me the day of the September 11 attacks:

I have never seen anything like this in my life. Things here are getting bad. I do not even feel safe anymore because of all the bad things that have happened today. I hope that we have seen the worst of it all. I do not know if I have any family there right now but I do not think that I do because I am sure that someone in my family would have told me by now. When I first heard the news it felt like it was all a dream. I work right by the airport (DTW) and I got real nervous, thinking that something would happen there so I left and called off my second job. All of the people I know have been sent home from work and I am pretty sure that they will go back tomorrow. I will go back tomorrow if nothing else happens. How do you feel about all of this?
