Rainy season makes us to stay at home all the time. We love to sleep hugging a pillow or hugging with someone (how I wish. I missed it, ha-ha). We can only do things indoor like watching televisions shows and movies or reading some good books. Speaking of books, I never finish reading the book THE 5 PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN yet. don't have time to read it anymore. I only happened to read the chapter wherein the character was a Filipina named Tala. There are other books that featured Filipinos as protagonists, pivotal characters, or supporting roles in novels.
Starship Troopers is a science fiction novel by Robert A. Heinlein. It was first published as a serial in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction and published hardcover in 1959.
The first-person narrative is about a young Filipino soldier named Juan "Johnnie" Rico and his exploits in the mobile Infantry, a futuristic military unit equiped with powered armor. Through Rico's eyes, Heinlein examines moral and philosophical aspects of suffrage, civic virtue, the necessities of war and capital punishment, and the nature of juvenile delinquency.
