WEDNESDAY PAP: ETA'S EVER FAVE COLOR!

This is a photo page of ETA i detached from my personalized photo album. She's my officemate turned real friend. She is the one who always there to defend me. One of my thoughtful friends who never forget to put a smile on my face. She's fond of giving thoughts. She is remembered as the violet lady for liking that color so much! Even a violet paperclip I saw on the floor once upon a time, reminded me of her. So I brought it back in the office and gave it to her.

She's getting married so soon. Guess what her motif is? Of course, it's violet! Now, I am in search of a wedding gift..... that is something VIOLET!

MIXED MONDAY: I wish, my english is impeccable. I wish, I can manage the time...

For more than 9 years in an accounting related work, I am now experiencing of forgetting the correct grammar. I've lost almost everything I learned in my english lesson. I really love english subject back then. From noun, verb, adjective etc. to sentence construction. And the figure of speech! I missed my english class especially the teachers.

I guess, I need to study my english book again inorder to refresh my mind. Reading english materials will help too. I need a time for it.

Speaking of time, we are in the world of time. We live with time. Time to wake up, time to work, time to eat and time to sleep.

We used to remember time- once upon a time. We need a second chance- one more time. We want to have a break- time out. A time to stop- time's up.

Definitely, we need TIME. And we need to manage it.

Now, it is time for me to resume my work. Later guys!

HOLY SUNDAY: THE HOLY MESSAGE AND THE GOSPEL

I was not able to meet Mamagurl (sister of ZJ) who had seminar here in the city of Iloilo last friday night. There was a conflict in my work time and her seminar schedule.

This morning I received a nice text message. I want to share it to you all. Here it is:

One day, God had a work for me to do. He showed a rock and told me to push it with all my might. For many years, I pushed and pushed but nothing happened. The rock hasn't moved even an inch. In discouragement, I asked God why am I failing. The Lord responded, "Your task is to push the rock. Never did I mention that you move it. Now I, my child, will move the rock."
Obedience to God is easy if we only know how to listen. He doesn't want us to suffer. He only wants us to LEARN.

SYMBOLISM OF WATER

References to the water abound in the Gospel of John and the image of water is central in the encounter of Jesus and the Samaritan woman. One of the most common elements of human life, water calls forth a range of different associations.

The first level of the conversation about water deals with disputes stemming from national identity. The woman is surprised that Jesus, a Jew, asks her, a Samaritan, for a drink; in fact, the evangelist notes that "Jews use nothing in common with Samaritans." Jewish people at that time often considered the Samaritan to be unclean; worse, that Samaritan women were in constant state of impurity as they were "menstruants from the cradle." Jesus breaks the barrier by talking with her and asking to drink from her "unclean bucket. Moreover, Jesus offers her "living water." This is the expression for flowing water, like the bubbling from a spring, which Scriptures say is to be used for purifying people from defilement incurred by skin disease or menstruation. In this case, water refers to Jesus' gift that would remove the defilement from the Samaritans and lead to their inclusion in the community that worship God.

Another level of meaning of water points to Jesus' identity as a prophet and Messiah. The Samaritan woman would remember the prophet Moses who provided water for Israel in the desert. Moses threw a tree into the bitter water at Marah and it became sweet (Ex. 15:3) and later struck a rock that released a stream of water for people to drink (Ex 17:3). Jesus would then be the fulfillment of the Samaritan hope for a Moses-like Messiah.

The third level of meaning points to Jesus as the giver of divine gift and universal salvation. Jesus transcends the dispute that divided the Jews and the Samaritans and offers water to "whoever" drinks it, meaning, everyone. Water is also used as imagery for the outpouring of the Spirit upon Israel. Later in the Gospel, the rivers of living water that flow from within him and which Jesus offers to everyone are said to refer to the Spirit which he will give when he is glorified (Jn 7:38-39)

A New Beginning

HERE I am again, same old me but with a renewed zest for blogging. I have been blogging for more than three years now and I have realized that it’s about time for me to start on a niche and to learn new things.

My First Blog Ever

What the heck is blog? I don't even know what blog exactly means. I have been hearing it from so many people and reading it from so many websites though. Then one of my friends named Tess or Aling Tikya as I call her, asked me if I have a blog already. I said no.. and she said.. create one so you can do this and that after a while..by the way, we're talking about making money through blog hahaah! so here it is.. my first blog ever.- (guess who?)

I have been thinking of starting my own blog since almost everybody i know have already been into blogging! I just cant seem to start it when i have all the time. Finally, i signed up with bravenet almost 3 weeks ago but i almost forgot it, never done anything until yesterday. Weather wasn't so good that i felt a little bored, got nothing to do, and remembered to go back to this. I was trying to familiarize myself getting around this stuff. I dont know if i am doing this right but anyway, this is my first post. What a wonderful post, isnt it? Testing, one, two, three...! Am i IN?- (guess?)

to begin with..

i'm quite fed up bloggin in friendster. marami na maxadong nakakabasa.though im quite aware that THAT site's sooo public, it gives me relief upon posting a single article.Pero grabe pala ang blog world... people take things personally. Like for example, this guy (a former friend) he's been reading my blogs for quite sometime. Ni sa kinita ko i never expected that he'll also be blogging(cguro for the sake of makaganti sa mga paratang ko or whatsoever). And you know what he did? He answered my blogs thru blogging..too.pretty weird noh?Well, flattered naman ako kxe he was able to come up with the idea na xa nga talaga pinatatamaan. hahaha. Ang kulit nga. instead of commeting on my blogs, nag blogs xa ng sarili nya!hahahaa.pero i admire his ego ha. Kahit alam nyang nasasaktan na xa sa mga accusations ko, go padin xa and he keeps on adding me on his friendster acct....after all ng mga pambuburyo nya and kamanhidan nya and all....THE NERVE! grabe. well..just recapping..hahhaha..hindi naman para sa kanya tong blog ko na to..na imply ko lang.hahaha.- (who's this?)

In my existence, I realized that hapiness is a very subjective factor in one's life. Being happy doesn't depend on achieving but rather making the best out of what is given. Life isn't fair, it never was. The only thing that can make you completely happy is contentment. Be content on what you have, but be sure to aim high and never stop believing you can do better everytime. But if all else fails, don't forget that there's GOD to back you up.
