MAASIN, ILOILO- THE BAMBOO CAPITAL OF WESTERN VISAYAS

It's been a month or more than a month I haven't updated this blog. I exists still! I am just struggling writing in English that is. Lol! Seriously, I had a hard time to blog especially when I am busy, sick, down, depressed, sad and name all the bad moments. Yes, I am always busy at work (gasgas na yan). Plus I was sick for like three weeks. I had mouth sores. For a month I was not feeling well. I even thought I had a big C and the weird is I thought maybe I had a big A. You know, getting old I feel inactive and less energetic. Ha-ha.

Traveling and being with friends are the outlet to distress. So some of my officemates decided to go out of town. Again, it was unplanned. Go, go jump! After work @ 6 pm, we traveled from Iloilo City to Maasin, Iloilo on November 29.

We stayed in one of the newly inland resorts in Maasin. It is located at Brgy Tubang.

Early in the morning, the following day, we walked to the hanging bridge nearby.

Our next destination was to the Damsite.

We visited the Pait, the salt spring in Maasin, Iloilo located at Brgy. Magsaysay. Maasin originated its name from that place.

Before we went back to Villa Teresita to have lunch, we climbed the so called Hinis with 168 steps.

And before we went home, we dropped by at Iloilo Kawayan Marketing, the maker of bamboo sticks. Needless to say that Maasin is the bamboo capital of Western Visayas. Iloilo Kawayan Marketing is the supplier of Mang Inasal and some chinese restaurants in Metro Manila.

It was my first time to visit Maasin, Iloilo. And I realized there are a lot places to discover and history to know.

THE REASON WHY I SWITCHED MY FAVORITE COLOR FROM RED TO GREEN

I have to admit it, I have a bad attitude of hiding something especially when I have a personal problem or every time I am down or sad. I want to solve it myself or I don't want others to be bothered. I only wanted to tell or spread the good news. I love show business intrigues but I dislike personal tsismis especially if the subject is a distant friend or the people around us. I always try to elude or ignore the issues involving both personal friends. Though, there's no problem with personal comment or chika-chicka unless it's not too personal.

So I kept the bad news about the death of my father in the office from the day he died. It discovered only when it was the time I asked permission to leave for a day and that was the day of his burial. My office-mates were shocked. I heard some blamed me for not telling it. My family and I accepted the fact that he was old already and it's already his own time that he needed to rest. So, don't blame me again if you'll know that I preferred not to take a glance of his remains nor I didn't take any photos of the corpse. I just wanted to imagine my father alive. So every time I think of him, I only imagine his smile and his movements.

I really appreciate the sympathy of my co-workers, my bosses, personal friends and also to those who posted their condolences through facebook. My personal friends told me the very touching words that we always be friends not only during the happy moments but also during the sad times.

This is one of the old traditions we still practice in the rural area during or after the burial.

Some superstitious beliefs include the ff:
*You can't personally prepare and cook leafy vegetables during or after the death of a family member. It takes a year to do so.

*You can't wear red clothes during or after the burial and it takes a year too.

*You can't personally cook chicken menus.

Whatever.

I switched my favorite color from red to green then.

GUISI ESCAPADE

I just came from a two day-one night escapade in Guimaras island particularly at Guisi Resort in Brgy Dolores, San Lorenzo, Nueva Valencia.

Aside from swimming, we did trekking.

We visited the old and new lighthouse.

We climbed until we reached the top.

We watched the sunset

And partying at night until we drunk but not all of us.

Of course, we were swimming to sawa.

And bid goodbye until we visited the island again. I hope i so soon.

I will post a more detailed on my other blog later. I am still spending my long weekend. Where are you spending yours?

SOMETHING PINK

Anong petsa na ba? I've been away from blogging like one decade. It's more than a month already! I was down and handled lots of problems. My father passed away on September 19 and buried just last October 09, 2011.

And here I am back and continue striving and enjoying life at the same time. Like fresh flowers, the pink wild flower and the pink rose, I refresh and embrace life.

I missed you all! How's life been treating you lately?

Ber month already! I was absent for quite sometime here because I focused myself on my work. You know, new management, new rules, new work time schedule. I wish I have a new partner too. Just kidding. I have no time for my partner if ever, that's 100% sure.

There are three big events for this month of September. Number one on the list is the upcoming coronation night of the Miss Universe 2011. I am so excited every year for that. I wish our own candidate Shamcey Supsup will bring home this year's crown hopefully. How about Miss China? Whoever.

Secondly, we gonna have a picnic in the park. I wish it will push through.

And the last but not the least, the pool party with the beckies! :-)

I wish I can join...not in the Miss Universe pageant but on the number 2 and 3 big events.

Last day of the long weekend. Tomorrow is another tough working day.

RELATIONSHIP IS LIKE BUILDING A SANDCASTLE

Building a relationship is like building a sandcastle. Build it slowly and carefully. For the record, I built 3 sandcastles, one after the other. Out of 3 sandcastles, all were left undone. I failed to fully build them.

While on the process of building the sandcastle,I left my partner 2 take a quick dip.When I went back fr swimming,I found a stranger playing w/ my partner & messing the sandcastle.3 is a crowd so I picked my things & walked out on the WAY BACK HOME.

& I learned that building a sandcastle is just for fun for others. I ended my 2nd relationship. I chose to build the sandcastle again, playing & messing w/ that stranger this time. Until I was tired of them both- the relationship and the person. So the sandcastle was undone for the 3rd time.I left... Now I am happy to be single again.

Tomorrow will be a complicated day for me. I supposed to have a date. I planned to watch HP. I need to relax my body. I was invited to attend a birthday party & will have a work appointment. Is it possible that my hands and feet will go to a date; my eyes & ears to watch a movie; my body to the spa; my mouth to the birthday party and my head to work appointment?

Today,I failed to watch HP. I cancelled my date. I was not able to attend d bday party. Yet I brought home some birthday foods through Rob,Willie, Suzanne & Mely. Thanks to Lily& Lynlyn! We met to see the venue for our upcoming reunion. I done my work partly. I watched a model search and I was able to relax my body.

I composed an email for Fabrice but I stopped when I see flash of lights. I don't like stolen shot. So I suddenly stopped and switched the light off. I actually afraid of lightning. Ha-ha. Blackout and am now lying, enjoying the sound of raindrops. I will just continue the email later. For now am enjoying the free fb app from smart that Nyora recommended.

The darkness reminds me of Brian. I missed that dog. He has great style, know some techniques. I will teach him to bite the bone w/out touching it the next time. He broke the record of the dog I used to play w/ before. Dogs are smart too but we should remember that we are more talented as d highest ek ek animal. Sorry I forgot what's the right term for that. All I know for now is am having a sleep problem & the term is INSOMNIA.

I like male dogs than female dogs, fyi. Female dogs are more flirts. They do the first move and flirts with the male dogs.

No more rain, there's no sounds of thunder nor flash of lightnings. I enjoy the SILENCE for the meantime. Later am sure, I can hear lightnings. Lightnings that will come from the human's mouth. Speaking of it, I missed my elder sister. Ha-ha.

Another problem when am awake at night is I pee from time to time. There's a saying nga ''ihi lng ang pahinga'' But no one beside me now. I actually holding something. This mobile phone makes me busy that is.

AND I'M BACK!

Wow, it's more than a month! But it's nice to be back in blogging. I was not able to update this blog and my PR went one point down. It's my fault! It's my fault! Ha-ha. There are three major, major reasons kung bakit di ko ma-update ang blog. One of them is ka-busy-han sa work. Yung other naman, kapag in love ako. The third one is if I am feeling sad. I'll say na tatlo yung nag-hit sa akin sabay-sabay kaya ganito katagal ang pagbalik ko sa blog. I am active in Facebook though or sasilip-silpi lang online.

It's June! The month of weddings. Not to mention the June bride. Ha-ha. So far I enjoyed summer before it ends. Speaking of June bride, I took a la pre-nuptial photos during our becky escapade in Cabalagnan, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras particularly at Rumagangrang Resort. The said pictorial or shoot was not actually plan. It was just for fun but turned unique. What makes it unique was the bride and groom are both beckies or simply gays.

I'll post it after our Concepcion adventure. For the meantime, just enjoy Concepcion on my other blog. BTW, I would like to greet my online MF Dyan a happy happy birthday!

Kamusta naman? I missed to blog or let's say na-miss ko ang pag-blog. Tulad nga ng sabi ko the whole month of April, banatan ng utak, tulugan to sawa. Ilang beses na rin na wala kaming tulog. 24 hours sa office. Pero lahat naman may katapusan. There's always an end........well to start again. Lahat na lang nasa cycle. So after the busy days, I planned to unwind. In short, some of my officemates and I went to Concepcion. It was an overnight full of escapades. Worth it!

If there’s one thing about me is that… I’m makulit.

But I’m being extra makulit. Because I know these kids personally.

Si Renz, makulit yun at bungi bungi kasi mahilig sa sweets but nakakatawa because he knows he can melt my heart when he smiles his Itim na ipin.

Si Dion masgusto si Tito Vic nya, boy na boy kasi and medyo one of the older kids. So parang cool sa kanya yung kuya V nya kaysa sakin. hehe!

Dalawa lang toh sa mga kiddies na nakasama namin. Madami pa sila. I love going out with them, nag time zone kami before and movie din. They are all loving kids. All different- some are quiet, some are bibo, some are malambing. But there is one thing common sa kanilang lahat….

THEY NEED US. THEY ARE CHILDHAUS KIDS.
Childhaus kids are kiddies with the big C. Every day is a battle and treatment is no joke. Both emotionally, mentally, physically and financially. But these kids.. they are warriors. They thought me strength and bravery.
I remember when we were together a few months ago. I asked one kid if he believes in Santa Claus. He said yes. When I asked him kung nakita na nya. He told me “hindi lahat kailngan nakikita para paniwalaan na andyan. Katulad ng sakit ko, hindi ko nakikita pero andyan sya”. I was really holding back my tears when he said this. Honestly, Hindi nga kailngan makita para malaman. Because he showed me true courage. How a kid like this holds on hope and faith amidst his condition. Honestly, what he’s holding on to is nothing he can see. Ang tapang nila. Idol. Warrior.

I am so excited na for tomorrow's pilot episode of Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin. Mababaw lang kasi ang kaligayahan ko. Teleserye, funny movies, simpleng handwritten notes. 'Yung simple pero may effort. Iniiwasan ko na manakit ng tao lalo na manakit ng damdamin. Naniniwala kasi ako sa KARMA. Maraming KARMA na ang bumalik sa akin. Pero mas marami naman ang good karma keysa bad karma.

I am so excited na rin sa upcoming first day showing ng movie ni Sarah Geronimo at Gerald Anderson. Tagal ng March 23. Lalo ako nabibitin kapag napapanood ko ang trailer sa T.V.

I am excited rin somehow nito. Ewan ko ba. Sa buong teen years at adult years ko, this year lang ako na-excite. Naalala ko yung last na sobrang happy ako, when I was 7 years old. I am not actually excited for the celebration, not even for any gifts. Isa lang naman ang nakapagpa-excite sa akin. Sabihin ko na. Yung birthday greetings. Ewan ko ba kung bakit na-excite ako bigla dyan. Baka last birthday ko na 'to (knock my head). Sa buong buhay ko, ngayon lang ako na-excite dyan. Maganda ang feeling kasi kapag may mga taong naalala birthday mo. Yung sa araw ng birthday mo mismo.

POWER OFF

Today's technology allows us to work 24/7. We can bring our work home or take it on vacation. Work is ever present with us except when electricity goes off. Like yesterday, brownout na naman! I can't accomplish anything that required electricity.

Whenever something like this interrupts my life, I realize how important my own work is to me. Without it, I feel unproductive and useless. But life doesn't end there. There are things left to accomplish without the need of electricity as a source. Like writing on a journal or you can take time to talk with friends.

We don't have a generator in the office so we dismissed early yesterday. I invited my best in everything friend to accompany me to watch a movie. Black Swan probably. In short, we enjoyed some hours of companionship and fun watching the said movie. No doubt, Natalie Portman won the Oscars' Best Actress this year.

MY ULTIMATE DREAM

Since childhood, I am fascinated to see particular people wearing medical uniforms. Those uniforms look so neat and clean for me. It made me build a dream to take up nursing after I graduated in high school. I took up nursing entrance exam and I was one of the 200 lucky examinees who I passed it. At that moment I saw myself a nurse in uniform. I was about to be interviewed but suddenly my sister decided not to support me if I will study Nursing. She can't afford the tuition fee in the first place including the nurse uniforms and supplies. So I ended up taking B.S Accountancy. I am working in an accounting office for ten years now but still I have in mind to go back to school and will take up the Nursing course.

January 01, 2011- Happy New Year! I spent the new year with my family (as usual). I always wanted to start the year with them.

January 02, 2011- I watched the movie, "Ang Tanging Ina Mo(last na 'to) alone. Ai Ai de las Alas really deserved the Best Actress award.

January 03, 2011- It's my first day working in the new office. Newly organized place. Spacious it is!

Micai is my new office mate. She's the latest youngest in the group and the most kikay among us. She adds laughter in the office who always say funny lines.

We sometimes chat on facebook even we both are inside the office.

Micai: Psst. Can I borrow your charger?
Me: Sure, I'll just send it here in the FB chatbox, you want?

One afternoon after lunch, the atmosphere inside the office was like in a cemetery. Obviously almost of my office mates enjoying their siesta. I don't take a nap anymore since I hook on Facebook. Blame it to Mark Zuckerberg! Kidding.

I am good in drawing or sketching but when my eyes caught this scenario. I grabbed my sign pens and started to draw.

MY CHOICES

One of my pastimes as a kid was walking the creek behind our home. I skipped stones across the surface of it. Inevitably, ripples would flow from the impact of the stone. It was an adventure for me.

It's like that with choices. Every choice we make creates a ripple effect on our lives as well as on the lives of others. The choices we have made throughout life determine where we are and what we are becoming. Choices are also telling. What we really want, love and think show up in the choices we make. Our lives are not made by the dreams we dream but by the choices we make.

That memory of walking along the creek makes me think of another journey- the one I'm walking now. It isn't always easy but I guess I'm just choosing the right way. I chose to be single again than to be in a complicated relationship and I chose to be alcoholic-free.

In addition, we chose to transfer to a more convenient and comfortable place soon. And I decided to stay full time in my other blog. Many people make resolutions on New Year's that the next year of life will be different. We wanted to change our (bad) habits and to develop new patterns. Resolutions like these are highly commendable as a stimulus to both spiritual and personal growth. But not always. Sometimes our resolutions are carried out only for a little while and all too soon are forgotten.

I started some of my resolutions for the New Year as early as October this year. It is good to engage now and then in self-examination. We should face up to the changes that need to be made, and then make plans for how we're going to implement them. Today is a good day to start. Never wait the New Year.

THE ZEMKAMPS CHALET

I retired doing knitting for the meantime. I know it's addicting. However, I wanted to do other arts and crafts and I need to unwind. So, when Harry "best" mentioned about the Mr. Guimaras 2010, I was interested to watch.

Two weeks before the competition night, we went to Guimaras to check a hotel to stay. One of the convenient hotels is Zemkamps Chalet. It's actually a family residence that has been privately owned and was opened to the public. It has ten uniquely designed and fully air-conditioned guestrooms and also has function area suitable for corporate and private events; ideals for business, seminars, conferences and small social events. Its multi-purpose room can accommodate 50-100 pax. Zemkamps is along the national highway in the heart of Guimaras and within the Provincial Capitol.

Back then, the sweet lady entertained us. She eagerly showed how convenient the room is. Moreover, she told us that some celebrities stayed in the hotel like the MMK team during the story episode of MMK's football.

NO MORE EXTRA RICE, SODA AND COFFEE

For three consecutive days I suffered abdominal pain. I can't explain the feeling but when I touched my belly it's like a drum. I can't even touch the right portion of my stomach. It was tolerable though so I did not visit the doctor. I just took 2 tablets of spasmo canulace.

I am feeling okay now. No more coffee; no more extra rice; no more soda. (Hanggang kelan kaya 'to?) I eat more veggies and fruits and drink milk nowadays. Anyways, I wanna thank my office mate and turned blogger who took part of updating my blog. He created the previous six posts here in his own benefit. For the past three days I still could not forget how I was able to earn dollars by simply posting articles not on my personal blog but on my friends’ blog. Though the birds, not on my hands yet it still brings a smile on my face thinking that I was able to earn on my own little way.

Two much love will kill you, this was a song popularized by the band Queen and this simple phrase actually means a lot for most of the teenagers of this generation. How should we manage love that after we fall and break apart we could still stand up and move on easily? There had been so many cases that guys often commit suicide when they’re oppressed in their love life. The sweeter the love is the more we should be cautious of its effect on us for it drives our mind crazier from time to time (actually based on my own experience). One of the highlights of our school during University week is the alternative classes. Do you know the subject that has the most number of students?

It’s actually Love 101, a subject that teaches us lessons and love advice on handling love and relationships. Most of the students find it interesting rather than speech communication, personality development etc. and maybe one reason for this is that man of the students could relate to the subject being taught. We the teenagers are easily falling in love and thus we hurt our selves too much every time we fell apart, and maybe some of the steps to be taken to help us and our curious minds manage love is counseling and sharing, that would help us make a positive image on handling love.

The Clock Story

The evolution of the clock is quite interesting, during earlier times people usually use the sun to know the time by gazing at the position of the sun in the sky they could tell what’s the time of the day. Then thereafter the people used a stick to determine time, they stand a stick in the ground and observes the position of the shadow in the ground. At the year 1680 the people used a pendulum to run the hands of the clock. Then a pendulum clock was made, and was placed in a wooden body with a height of about six feet. During 19^th century there were two brothers who made a clock the older brother died, several experts tried to repair the clock but it was not restored then after several years the older brother also died and the clock that they made was totally destroyed. Henry Clay Work in his effort to recognize the work of the two brothers decided to make a song about the story of the clock and the two brothers and was entitled My grandfather clock . For several years the story spread over England and the pendulum clock built with wooden case of about six feet was called grandfathers clock.

ALONE TIME

I learned to appreciate freedom and alone time after my past relationships. I learned to love myself. I enjoy traveling alone. I appreciate the time to be just by myself.

But now, taking a break on my own is not as easy because I have a career to tend to. It is really hard for me to leave my work and be away for several days. It makes me feel worry more. Yet, I still find time to be alone- relax and reflect by myself.

The times that I really had alone time were:

1. I visited the southern part of Iloilo.

2. I visited the churches in the second district of Iloilo.

3. I watched movies alone.

4. I looked for a purple birthday gift.

5. I was left alone at home.

6. I visited Trappist monastery in Guimaras once a month last two years ago.

7. I did knitting the whole day.

You can even have alone time for just 20 to 30 minutes for you to reflect by yourself. Alone time is just a moment (to have peace of mind and de-stress) and not a lifetime.

My family rarely sees each other except at holidays and other special events, so photos and family stories are important to us. That's why; I am creating scrapbooks with photos of my nieces, nephews and grandchildren. I am pretty sure they would love the special pages filled with their photos and stories.

Photographers take hundreds of images without hesitation because they know that the more pictures they have to choose from the better chance they'll get just the best one.Usually, I have taken photos in succession. You can't control the expression on your model. At least 3 to five is good for most candid situations. Unexpectedly, you may even capture something wonderful. Fortunately, there's digital camera! With it, you can take countless shots without worrying big expense and can set it in specific features.

POPSICLE STICKS FOR ROLLED RIBBONS

As of present time, I'm actually done fixing and organizing my stuffs. But I can't forget how my small place become nearly a place of scratch papers. Mas marami kasi ang papers na nauwi sa basura keysa natira na mga importante that I still keep.

Like this mixed disorganized ribbons I bought 3 years ago. Hinayaan ko na lang magkaganito. Hindi nagalaw dahil I work full-time and part-time sa arts and crafts lang.

Popsicle mainly use as ice pop handler. Some use it for crafts. I used it to organize the ribbons.

Ganda nila tingnan no? Para silang pop candies.

To keep it organized, I put it inside this plastic stuff I bought at Robinson's Place for only 19php.

Nakaka-chillax tingnan ang mga bagay na organized. I am counting nga kung hanggang kelan ba 'to pero I can assure hindi na maging miserable ang mga gamit ko. I am working to fix my files in the office next.

Before I continue my organized operation, I wanna share something I read online about what Lesley Adams said. According to her, disorganization costs Americans 15 to 20 percent of a family's budget per year. We can't find what we're looking for, so we buy another. That's true! Just like what happened to Mrs. Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo one time that she had hard time to find her phone charger and decided to buy new one but her husband Ryan Agoncillo told her no need to and just don't stop looking for it. And they found it somewhere inside their house.

There are some tips to declutter and organize your closet that will enable you to find your items faster.

1. You need to have free time to organize your closet. Have some clear boxes ready before you start.

2. Take all items in your closet out. The boxes are for the items you will give, sell, or trash.

3. Put items in the 3 boxes (give, sell, trash).

4. For the items you need to keep, put all according to color and type of clothes.

5. At last, you are organized

Extra tip:

I put my hankies in vertical order for me to see it right away and pull out.

THE PURPOSE

Last month, I nearly burn my room (it's just a figure of speech) looking for a piece of paper. I almost checked the four corners of the room. My sister even helped me. She did kalkal the trash basket. I even called all the saints and prayed to Him to show me that piece of paper. (Silly me.) It's not the priority number to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

God: "The purpose of prayer is not to get what you want but to become what I want."

Later on, I realized that I put it inside the pandan purse when I fixed my wallet. After that i made a promise to become an organized person. (Talagang tinamaan ako ng purpose of prayer na 'yan.)

God: "Just don't say it. Do it!"

I don't own a mansion (only in farmtown). I don't have even yayas. But I'll show you how the yaya organized his own clutter. In short, I'll show you how to get organized without hiring a professional organizer. (Pagbigyan n'yo na ako kasi first time ko 'to.)

But before that, here I show you the clutter.

"Do me, take care of me."

I am living in a small place, I need to learn the discipline of keeping only what is fully needed and be organized. Back then, How do I get organized? According to what I've read, I need the right tools first of all. Then, I need time and commitment.

1. The tools- I bought some of appropriate storage @ SM Homeworld.

2. Time and Commitment- I committed my time since Saturday night and done yesterday afternoon. It's equivalent to just less than a day (Of course, I slept).

According to what I've read again, there are actually three ways of obtaining space:

1. You can increase the amount of storage space.

2. Use the space you have more efficiently.

3. Reduce the amount of things you store.

Only numbers 2 & 3 are applicable to me since I only have small space of existence as I've said earlier. I hate it. I don't have the number 1 requirement. So the next step I followed was myself. Kidding!

Now, I was ready to begin the clean up effort. The first thing I did was to clear everything in the area. I spread everything out on the floor.

I personally have only two basic things I can do with any given item. The throw it and the keep it. And I have only two categories: The work materials and the passion items.

The clean up process can take a lot of time. The bigger the mess, the more effort will be involved. To make it short, I was dead tired but the reward at the end is worth it. At the end of the day, here's the after scene.

My sister was happy for what I've done. So she volunteered to organize the throw it section.

MY LIFE'S JOURNEY AND HIGHLIGHTS

2002-2004- The years were the highlights of my Internet addiction. One time I was online 48 straight hours and I gained some virtual friends.

2005-It's my dating year. Great excitement. I had my first serious relationship and I deleted all my online accounts. Unfortunately, the relationship I thought will be forever ended before the new year.

2006- It was the year of much challenges. I lived with a special person. I became matured and I learned so many things in life. It was the year that gave me smiles though there were negative things happened but it was over-powered by good memories.

2007- I discovered blogging and still love doing it until now.

2008- It takes two to tango. However, I found my dancing partner busy dancing with other people in the dance floor. I can buy earthy things but I can't buy someone to stay with me. So I let that special person enjoyed the new company and even the bad past acquaintances. You can help people to be better but no assurance that they follow what you think is good for them. I found myself dancing with the wind. Yet, I don't want to let the wind enter my brain. So, I focused myself in blogging. Mrs. T. encouraged and helped me to monetize my blog. I just earned 2,000 bucks that year.

2009- I was able to balance my time for my family and personal friends. I had great moments with them. I visited beautiful places nearby. Indeed, I had memorable events last year!

This year 2010, I take time to fix and organize my life. I love doing my passion and try to make things great!

IT'S AUGUST

August is here! Days run so fast! I am feeling okay now. But as usual I am still busy working, organizing and doing crafts. I really wanted to update regularly but unfortunately, I can't do what I say. At least I accomplished something and that is organizing my things.

For future topic, I wanna share some conversation I had for the past few weeks and the conversation I've overheard. At the same time I will continue doing and sharing some craft projects on my other blog. See you on your own blog.

The lady at the postal counter 1 is always smiling to people. She's been nice to all. I figured she's already on her 50's but still looks active. Iloilo City postal employees are so nice unlike some I encountered before when I was in high school. The postman who delivers my postcards, letters and some packages is always ready to serve. Sometimes I request him to bring and drop my postcards on the mail box.

I decided to have my own Postal Office Box finally.I am into postcrossing project and I do have penpals in some parts of the world.

Now, I can check my box anytime and any day of the week. I even chose my own box number. It's easy to memorize as 123.

UNDERGO TRAINING

I bought some office supplies in a department store last weekend. When I was at the counter to pay, I've observed that their service was inefficient. Both the cashier and the packer did not know how to serve the customers in a more effective way. The packer did not know how to fold the gift wrappers I bought. She was about to tie them with plastic straw but I grabbed it and showed her how to do the right way to wrap it around with the small plastic bag and scotch tape. I wondered if they undergone a training or orientation before they do their duties. Training courses or orientation is really important in sales department. Even actors undergo workshop before they do a movie or T.V. series. Manny Pacquiao do sport training. In business, Softcom Training helps to improve and develop your skills for a certain job or position.

THE PANDAN BOX AND WALLET

This braided box is made out of raw natural straws called "Pandan" leaves from Leyte province, eastern part of Visayas, Philippines. It is where I store my eraser and liquid corrector.

The "Pandan" wallet is where I found the piece of paper I was looking for the whole afternoon. I love to collect native products nowadays. Back to basic.

SUNDAY RAMDOMNESS

I was supposed to accompany my friend to watch a Star Cinema movie- Cinco. He texted me last Friday that he broke up with his partner/bf for more than 2 years. I don't want him to sing Too Much Love Will Kill You or I am afraid he gonna kill himself(knock on wood) so I said yes even if I don't like much horror movie especially if it's a Filipino film. For a change he gonna scream his heart out while watching the said horror movie. In support with a friend, I gonna scream with him and to comfort him. So I canceled "the meet ups" with my high school friends in the last minute. And in the last minute my broken-hearted friend canceled our supposed to be movie-watching yesterday. I ended up working the whole Saturday fixing my things in the office.

I spent Saturday night doing my postcard album and I was able to put 6 pages postcards until 2 am. As expected, I woke up late so I was not able to attend the Sunday early mass. The whole morning I created a felt paper Garfield wall decor inspired by Jim Davis and did a makeover of the paper craft I created way back 2008. I gonna send them to my newly found friend online. We've met through postcrossing project. We are exchanging emails, sharing the same interest, same way of life and a lot more. We have some things in common. One thing I don't have that he has is a partner. Lmao. He has a cat and I have a dog.

I met Harry again and we watched a mall show. We ate and talked as if the last time we met was like ages. Non-stop laughter, nakaka-distress! The best laughter I had before we separate ways when he grabbed my can and took a photo of someone's behind.

I am not a perfectionist. I just want to organize things particularly my mess. I am "makalat or burara" because I have a mañana habit. It's easy to stash away the things meant for storage, But it's often a chore finding them when you finally need to use them. I really want to achieve the arrange-it-now way of organizing things. I am working it still. In fact, I've done a couple of things organized this week after I searched to death a piece of important paper. It took the whole afternoon for me to find it. Hinanap ko pati sa trash can. Finally, I found it inside a native pouch.

I tried to be organized again and again. They say, don't stop dreaming. Habang may buhay, may pag-asa. In organizing things, habang may mga bagay, may kalat talaga. Kaya don't stop fixing it. Kapag hindi mo na kaya, kumuha ka na ng yaya. I ended up searching online how to organize things since I can't afford to hire a professional organizer. I applied it on small package first. I grabbed my writing item purses. I have two purses, one i keep at home and the other one I bring everyday.

I made separate piles for that I want to bring, keep and throw away.

I gathered the items I use everyday.

I put on "keep it" pile the items I only use at home during art and craft projects.

I threw all the items in the "throw away pile out.

The killing of Renato Victor Ebarle Jr., son of Undersecretary Renato Ebarle Sr. on November 18, 2009, may have turned into the Jason Ivler case. The former was only 27 years old when he died. I had a "catch up" date with one of my friends in high school. We seldom see each other but when our vacant time meets, we go for it. No plan actually.

I am a loyal Kapamilya and he is working in the rivalry network yet we still friends like Judy Ann Santos and Jolina Magdangal. lol. We never talk about rivalry though. But he is the type of person you can get the latest information about celebrities and well-known individuals in the city.

Moi: Do you know this fashion model I've been stalk in FB?

Him: Oh yeah. He and a fashion designer are the "item".

Moi: I added a regional TV host/Dj in FB but he ignored me. I used to watch him early in the morning before I go to work.

Him: Hmm, there's a rumor that he is gay. BTW, I have two talents. One is good in singing as in bumibirit. The other one can play the piano well.

Moi: You got it! Pilipinas got talent.

We decided to dine in the newest Mexican resto in the city- the MOOON CAFE. It is located at Paseo Robinson's PLace, de leon St., Iloilo City and owned by Pages Holdings, Inc. I ordered reviving fruit combo and pasta ala mooon. He ordered watermelon shake and pasta carbonara. We added pizza jalapeno diablo (photo above). I loved the taste of pasta ala moon with peanut. But when it comes to pizza, my friend was sweating and just bite a slice. Me too. lol. It was kinda hot that we decided to take it out. As a consolation, I asked the waitress why there are three O in the word moon. According to her, the three O's stands for the three students of UP who worked for the interior designs of the said restaurant.

We had a great conversation. I dunno when I can meet Harry again.

THE DARKQ GAY BLOG IS ABSOLUTELY DIFFERENT

People who close to me both personally and virtually know the real me- I am gay. They don’t know the whole story though- the struggles, the depression and more that I hid to tell. Recently I posted something so personal about my gay life, I received some calls, encouragements, and non-stop questions.

I only open up with other gays online. I communicate with them in the chat rooms and in some gay networking sites to let myself be in and will be in the unique gay world. But I think, I am so lucky today to find a gay blog that I really like. DarkQ gay blog is absolutely different. Unlike the other gay blogs I discovered, it is non-pornographic blog. It tackles gay issues in a positive side and other common and up-to-date topics in the community, current issues, entertainment, beauty tips and health. I can relate almost all the post title that makes me so excited to read them all from April to the latest post. I got some cool tips and learned some things reading the said gay blog. I am looking forward to read and know more.

I never enter the male's comfort room in my whole high school life. It doesn't mean I used the the female's C.R. Of course not! What do you think of me?! I released everything when I went home at lunch time and I did the same ritual when I went home late in the afternoon from school. I really don't like peeing in the public toilet. I hate to flush the waste of other people before I have my turn to pee. Speaking of public toilet, why other people love to pee in public wall or any other open place?

Yahoo! Msn! Plurk! Blogger! Facebook! Multiply! DL! Twitter! Whatelse? It's a Saturday afternoon and I am so happy because I can park online up to sawa. It's already the 3rd day of July. The first month of the mid-year. June ended meaningful to me as a Filipino citizen who keep on wanting a big change in the government system. On June 30 was the inauguration of the newly elected President and Vice-President, Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III and Jejomar Binay respectively. It was one of the successful event in the Philippine's history. I liked Charice Pempengco who sang the Philippine National Anthem and the rest of the talented singers. I witnessed the unity in the Philippine T.V. I hope it will happen in real life and under the newly elected government officials.

On the same day was the national showing of the movie "Eclipse" So far, I liked this 3rd installment of Twilight Saga. It is because the vampires and the werewolves united to fight the Vampire newborns. The love-triangle drove me crazy that even I belong to Team Edward, I can't help to stare shirtless Jacob :-p especially when he said, "I am hotter than you." Needless to say, Edward hitch leg scene was the best scene for me!

Oh my, Momay! Am having mental block since... I can't remember. Forgetful?! Oh no! I took a deep breath and long pause facing the monitor before I typed the introduction of this post. I am not prepared or let's say I have no idea what topic to discuss. So I ended up typing this randomness. Most of the time, I write rough drop before I hit the keyboard.

I played hide and seek with Mr. Blogger for the past days. You would not be surprised I know if I will say I am kinda busy at work (as always). Maybe you are tired hearing it. Anyways, I missed you guys. I visited your blogs but I didn't leave any post it comment. I have to tell you the real scenario. I was looking some files and ended fixing my stuffs. I need to do that way because I have to tell you again I am not organize but I am always trying to be. Back then, fixing things to look for something and at the same time I had an intermission time that is checking facebook, plurk, blogs and emails that it took more than a week doing it. Unfortunately, I don't find the files I am looking for until now. it's another job to play hide and seek with the important files. Yet I found some files I was looking before. :-)

It is always hard for me to manage my time and organize things since there are unexpected happenings everyday. Maybe I need to find a book regarding how to organize things and manage the time that I have to follow. Anyone who can recommend a particular book?

I was able to watch the movie "I'll be there" yesterday. Kakapasok ko lang sa loob ng sinehan when my bff texted me. I have no choice but to meet her since she seldom go here. I went back to the movie house to continue watching the said movie after we talked. I learned to value old and real friends. They are always there to support me no matter what happens. Sabi nga ni John Lloyd Cruz, "You get what you give". Ang sabi naman ni Echo, "Be nice to the world and the world will be nicer to you." There are new things we discover in the modern world today. We need to embrace the quick changes. But don't ever change. Masarap pa rin yung original, yung totoo. In virtual life, I discover new things, new opportunities & new friends. Pero iba pa rin kayo. I missed you guys!

We have another adopted dog. Her name is Pokie. The name originated from the Philippine comedian, Pokwang. She is a mongrel dog. It's simply Askal dog in the Philippines or native dog in wide world term.

Panda has a mate now. Who knows they will become an in house couple. They say, people with more than one dog shouldn't try to treat them all as equals. Because pack position is important to a dog, this only encourages jealousy games.

I remembered on the first week of May, my niece who was 9 months on the way that time, texted me asking what name should I suggest for her second child to be. I love the name Juano- one simple name but I gave her the freedom to choose. I recommended some unique names I found @ babynames.com (the site wherein Vina Morales got the name of her daughter.) Kent Usher is the final name my niece chose for her second son. The meaning of the name Kent is high. It's origin is English. While the meaning of the name Usher is people escort. It's origin is American.

Kent Usher was born on May 30, 2010 @ Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial Hospital at around 9 am. I visited the mother and child.

Eye glasses designs are all the rage in 2010. Designers have created new designs inspired by sharp edges, squares and rectangles. These glasses have professionalism written all over them. For most celebrities, glasses form part of their identity. I can still remember the character actor of Spiderman, Tobey Maguire and of course Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter. Even John Lennon is still remembered from the time he was with the Beatles to his murder in 1980. In popular culture, glasses were the entire disguise Superman and Wonder Woman. The geek chic look popularized by the likes of Buddy Holy and Johnny Depp is enjoying renewed interest this year. And of course, oversized glasses are still on the hot list.

In particular, I need glasses this year. It’s not that I want to be identified by it. I never wore glasses before. But this time I need to have full reading glasses that I need to close up reading especially when I am reading or working on the computer. I grew up in an environment of endless rice fields, grazing carabaos, goats, duck, nipa hut and the simple life. But everything changed since I stayed in the city. Like my fair skin turned light, from kinaray-a to hiligaynon and I learned to show dirty finger. A hamlet boy became a sophisticated city lad then. As far as I could remember, I just went home two times a year- only during New Year's eve and holyweek. Not to mention that it takes 2 hours from the city to the province and vice versa.

It's just lately that I learned to fully appricate the countryside. The simple kind of life is what I go back to when the stresses of life start getting to me speaking of my work. Viewing the scenic mountains ridges,

and gently slooping hills

while on the way of bumpy road, make the trip feel thrilling and exciting. Once you are there, you really feel you've left the city.

The childhood memories flashed like when I was seven years old and rode carabao around the farm. I even had my own pig named Moonyen but eventually sold after six months. Besides carabaos and pigs, we also kept and still have chicken, goats, cows, dogs and a cat.

PILIPINAS GOT TALENT PERFORMANCE NIGHT

The Pilipinas Got Talent performance night surprised me- the whole show! I was so excited to watch it last night and before it started I was kinda disappointed. Pinaglaruan muna ako ng electric power. Nuts kept on updating me and even sent me a sms message nang mag umpisa na ang programa @ 9:00 pm. Salamat na lang at bumalik na ang kuryente.

Aba is Ai-ai nag a la Lady Gaga. I was expecting Kris will have a special number too. Ha-ha Ha-ha!

1. ALAKIM- the magician was the first performer. More gulatan nga ang nangyari. Nakaka-amaze, nakakalito, ambilis niya tumakbo from the stage to the opposite side. May passage siguro. Sobrang malinis ang pagkagawa niya ng magic tricks. Nag-level up siya.

2. SHERWIN from Lanao (hindi ko natandaan kung sur or norte basta Mindanao. Kinanta ulit niya yung Tayong Dalawa themesong. Perpekto ang pagkanta hanggang dulo. Dinaig si Jed Madela.

3. MARKKI STROEM- Mukha pa lang magpause ka na. He can sing, play the piano and the level up- gumamit ng saxophone. Total package ika nga.

4. EZRA BAND- Sabi sa intro, first time kakanta ang vocalist na original song of a famale singer. Yung Runaway ng Corrs. Pero boses lalaki pa rin. Napakahusay. Mas pogi pa siya keysa sa akin. Pero I admired more yung sa keyboard na Nor ang name. Hindi maibigkas ni Kris ang pangalan dahil Magi ang ini-endorse nilang dalawa ni Ai-ai. (May ganun?! Sige kaw na. Joke! Di ba Nors?)

5. VELASCO BROTHERS- Breathtaking! Na-mesmerize ako especially dun sa dulo. Standing ovation ang mga judges.

6. MARIA JELINE OLIVA- the girl who can play 12 instruments. Sabi nga ni Billy ito talaga ang sagot sa Noypi, show the world you've got.

7. BAGIUO METAMORPHOSIS- Graceful dance troupe. Para silang mga fairy. Their performance was a combination of cultural dance and hiphop.

8. JOVIT BALDIVINO- The small boy with a big voice and big heart. Siya ang inaabangan ko. Magaling pero I expected more. Hindi man nag-level up pero constant at nai-maintain pa rin niya yung galing niya sa pagkanta. I agree kay Kris, may charisma at agree ako kay Ai-ai na sana huwag siyang magbago kahit sikat na siya. Daming fans! "TOO MUCH LOVE WILL KILL YOU"- yung kinanta niya pala. Hindi ko masyado maintindihan dahil ang lakas ng sigawan sa Araneta.

9. RUTHER URQUIA- Nakakatawa. Gaya ng isang magician, mahirap yung gumawa ng puppet show.

10. INGRID PAYAKET- a la Lea Salonga ang dating. the only female solo grand final performer.

11. KEITH CLARK DELLEVA- electrifying talaga ang performance. Ginulat niya ang smabayanan dahil sinayan niya ng kanta ang pagtugtog niya ng gitara. Cute!

12. THE LUNTAYAO FAMILY- I expected them to sing "Heal the world" Nakalimutan ko tuloy ano kinanta niya pero sobrang galing pa rin. Natawa ako kay Charl, the 7 year old and the youngest in the family singing group. Bumirit na nakaluhod at nagturn around habang kumakanta.

Successful ang first season ng Pilipinas Got Talent. I am looking forward to watch and witness more Pinoy talents.

Bet ko pa rin si Jovit Baldivino to be the first PGT grand winner. Mamaya na ang announcement of the winner. Matalo o manalo, singing superstar ka na!

This is an exciting week for me. I am actually talking about how exciting the Kapamilya programs this week. First is the Goal concert of PBB housemates tomorrow night. The proceeds is for the Philippine football team who gonna compete in Brazil this coming August.

On Saturday and Sunday night will be the big, big night. It's the grand finals of the first Pilipinas Got Talent. I am so excited to watch the performance of Jovit Baldivino. Plus the star family reunion of Sharon, Gabby and KC Concepcion on Sharon.

THE MEMORABLE LETTERING BOOK

Cleaning my mess one day, I came across an old lettering book. I had it photo copied when I was in high school from my freshman classmate. I kept on practicing this particular text called German text.

I supposed to write an admiration letter for my crush that time. We were in the same school.

Wait. it's already passed six o'clock in the evening. I need to rush in the supermarket to buy some foods for tonight's Kapamilya T.V. programs. I will continue my crush story on my new blog tomorrow.

While I was watching T.V. this morning, I noticed something on the flooring. It was a group of little creatures. The ants were carrying foods. And it's the sign that the rainy season is near approaching. It made me realize that we need to have some building repairs particularly our house' ceiling. It's still summer here in the Philippines and it's the right time to repaint and repair some parts of the house. We need to maintain and develop our house and building. It is served as a shelter from weather, provide privacy, store belongings and comfortably live and work. It is a place of comfort and safety so to speak.

My office mate and thoughtful friend, John gave me lovebirds. Matagal na niya akong gusto na bigyan. I am the one who is hesitant to accept because I am not a pet owner in my whole life. But I do love pets of other people though :-) I just have no time for them because I am always busy working. Pets need a special attention and much care too. But this time, I can't refuse to have a couple of lovebirds.

I am back after the Election day but I am still lazy like the dog on the photo above though I need to work like a chicken.

With my eagerness to have my own domain, I bought one yesterday. All I did was redirected my blog to my domain name. I am not a techie person. I don't know what to do next. Anybody who could help me. I will appreciate it very much. Lastly, thanks to ZJ who recommended me where to buy a domain name and to Nuts who gave me some great ideas about web hosting and blogging.

MAGNETS & MOTHERS?

A teacher gave her class of second-graders a lesson about the magnet and what it does. The next day, in a written test, she included this question: "My name has six letters. The first one is m. I pick up things. What am I?" When the test papers were turned in, the teacher was astonished to find that almost 50 percent of the students answered the question with the word mother.

Yes, mothers do pick up things. But they are much more than "magnets," gathering up clothes and picking up toys around the house. As willing as many mothers are to do such chores, they have a higher calling than that.

A good mother loves her family and provides an atmosphere where each member can find acceptance, security, and understanding. She is there when the children need a listening ear, a comforting word, a warm hug, or a loving touch on a fevered brow.

The kind of mother deserves to be honored-not just on one special day a year but every day. And that recognition should involve more than words; it ought to be shown in respect, thoughtfulness, and loving deeds.

MOON GIVE ME BREAD

I wanna share this story from "Our Daily Bread". It's originally shared by Cindy Hess Kasper.

On the way home from a family camping trip, 6-year-old Tanya and her dad were the only ones still awake in the car. As Tanya looked at the full moon through the car window, she asked, "Daddy, do you think I can touch the moon if i stand on my tiptoes?"

"No, I don't think so," he smiled
"Can you reach it?"
"No, I don't think I can either."

She was quiet for a moment, then she said confidently, "Daddy, maybe if you hold me up on your shoulders?"

On July 20, 1969, the United State's Apollo 11 was the first manned mission to land on the Moon with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. The former being the first to step foot on the surface. Since then, going to the Moon had been a dream of many people. I remembered when I was a kid, my mother used to tease me with the line, "Moon give me bread, eat it, eat it!"

The first photo was taken in the Fort San Pedro, Iloilo. I was watching the sunset with a friend. We had a great conversation until moonrise.

The second photo was taken in the province when I wake up early in the morning to catch the sunrise. Luckily, I was able to catch the moonset first.

I inspired by the first and the second photos and came up to create a moon art (the third photo). It is still made of white sand from Tatlong Pulo.

THE FARM IN TOWN

Philippines is an agricultural country, but over the last two decades, the development of the agricultural sector has been stalled by industrialization and the growth of the knowledge industry. The agricultural land converted into residential land as well. I am afraid that one day there will be no more rice fields and parcel of land for planting crops and trees.
And in order to eat we will need to buy rice and organic fruits and vegetables from other countries.

I grew up in the province, in what they call hamlet. I was surrounded of rice fields and mountains. My family even raise domestic animals and domestic birds like chicken and ducks,

goats

cows

carabao until now.

We still have coconut trees,

mahogany trees,

banana

guava

papaya

and other trees both non-bearing and bearing fruits. We plant tobacco, peanuts, beans and other edible crops.

I've always liked having my own backyard garden of flowers and vegetables. And even a farm and live in the modern bahay-kubo. Farming excites me! That's why I am still playing farming in Farm Town.

THE EXCITING MAY 2010

After the over over work and over time, I declared that I am not that busy now. I mean, work makes me always busy but not over busy now. Super busy is over now should I say. (Tawhay pa sa pulis.)

It's May 1, Labor day but the President declared the holiday on Monday. As I've always say, I need to manage my time, work diligently yet I can't do it right. Today, I wake up so early surprisingly. Oh yeah! (For one and a half month, I slept early in the morning.) Back then, I am so happy that I started this month right. I attended the mass @ 7am. Then I dropped by in the nearest photocopier to leave a photocopied file for bookbinding. I went to Chowking to have an early breakfast. I tried Echo's orange chicken at last.
I jotted down the important reminders and special days on my planner for May 2010 while eating. After eating I went directly to the barber shop. I don't need to give an instruction for my new haircut. The barbero knew it's still semi-kalbo number 2. I visited my soon to be a new personal client. I gave business insights and ideas in opening a business as partnership. I arrived in the office @ 9:30 am.

I had a to go lunch treat from my office mate. Ng Nor thanks so much! I went home early. As usual I brought home works. I went malling but ended shopping. It's "SALE" @ SM. I bought 2 col-ber shorts @ 200 php each but the original price was actually 699.75 each. I made sure to go back home before the live airing of the reality show, Pilipinas Got Talent-the performance semi-final's night of the first batch. Jovit Baldivino amazed me again! I dunno what's in his voice, tumatayo balahibo as in sagad hanggang buto. For the first batch my rank votes are as follows:

MMK's episode made me smile. I admired straight actors who portrayed gay role. I liked the performance of the lead role actor. I dunno his name but he portrayed the MMK's tonight letter sender, Samantha. I bet he will receive an acting award in the future for such a great performance in Maalaala Mo Kaya. Some terms in gay lingo reminds me of Dyanie who gave the definition of "waley". :-)

The PBB's teen clash of 2010 episode made me to stay late at night. The Teenternational bedspacers were introduced and entered inside the PBB house to add spice in the life of the teen housemates inside the PBB house.

There you have it all! There are more happenings await on the month of May. Not to mention the fiestas and Flores de Mayo. And I am so excited to the Oprah's guesting of Charice Pempengco together with Justin Bieber. And who will be the next Philippine president?

HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR HOBBY

I am an active member of postcrossing. I've been a member for more than a year now or 569 days to be exact (i love the 69 number). I ranked 13th when it comes to the number of postcards sent from Philippines.

Here I wanna share to you my postcard collection:

I bought postcards in large volume especially when I found new postcards available in National Bookstore. A postcard cost from 3 php to 25 php. I bought much of postcards that cost 3 php. It's the cheapest but still beautiful! I admit before that I had a problem of organizing my postcard but after I bought and read the first issue of Sharon @ Home magazine, I got great ideas in organizing stuffs. And i applied it on my postcard hobby. So I organized it by categories. It is easier for me to find a particular postcard that the postcrosser wanted to receive. I don't need to scan my postcards anymore.

Using the old entertainment magazine pages as an envelope and label it accordingly.

I love writing. Here I show you how I write on the postcard. Writing with my left hand while holding the camera with my right hand to record is not that easy. I used the fountain pen Eds gave to me last Christmas and that art & craft magazine is given by KJ.

Drawing a bunch of red roses is my trademark :-)

I sent postcards in volume too to avoid time consuming. Going to the post office once a week or once in two weeks is wise than going every time you need to send a postcard or two. With that idea, you will receive bunch of postcards in return.

THE SHARON AT HOME MAGAZINE 2ND ISSUE IS OUT OF THE MARKET

I kept checking the magazine stand for a week if the second issue of Sharon magazine is already out of the market. It is available quarterly. I like the first issue very much that's why I am so excited to grab the next issue. And I got a copy today! Ye-hey! I just realized I start to collect her magazine.

MOTORCYCLE RIDING TIPS

Finally tax season is over now. I am back to normal life. I can watch T.V. now enjoying my favorite television series. Last night, I was able to catch the T.V. news. The news claimed the life of a 30 years old man and wounded his wife. The former was traversing the highway when he crashed through a truck. According to the traffic investigation, the truck was maneuvering a left turn when the motorcycle tried to overtake. Due to the impact, the couple was thrown out of the motorcycle, which was also badly wrecked. It was gathered that the victims were not wearing motorcycle helmets. Investigation revealed that the man was under the influence of liquor when the incident happened.

Deaths and injuries from motorcycle accidents are now considered a public health epidemic. Reports showed that motorcycles have the highest fatality rate and motorcycle riders figured as the second most at risk of being killed or injured in a road accident. Reports identified over-speeding, non-use of helmets, risk-taking behavior, and drunk driving as contributing factors to the rising trend of traffic accidents. Motorcycle accidents can and will happen. But whether an accident was due to automobile driver negligence, a mishap on a slick road, or operator error, there are tips you can follow to drastically limit the chance of a motorcycle accident. One should have proper motorcycle gear, includes helmet, eye protection, motorcycle saddlebags and leather vests. Motorcycle operators have the skills needed to safety operate a motorcycle and must know the legal responsibilities.

You don't have to tour the 7,107 islands- the Philippines to appreciate the natural marvels of our earth, but it helps.

You don't have to snorkel the warm waters of Jamaica to be impressed with the hidden beauty of our planet's seas, but it helps.

You don't have to view the Rockies, experience the rock of Gibraltar, or gaze at Mount Fuji to realize how awe-inspiring are the vistas of our globe, but it helps.

Experiencing firsthand the majesty of the mountains and the glory of the oceans can leave us breathless as we ponder how spectacular our big blue marble really is.

Today is Earth Day, a commemoration of our global home and a reminder of our responsibility to be careful stewards of this orb. In connection, this week's FSO theme is "Honoring Trees" by GingerV.

This is just a quick update. I've been busy from January until this month. Finally, the tax season is over now! What's next? Lmao! I am thankful I'm not totally stressed out. My secret is to have a work break from time to time. And it's playing farmtown, plurking, facebooking, chatting and reading blogs. I even thinking good memories that make me smile. Photos are the proof of good times with friends, family and people around me.

I can say last year was the most memorable birthday I 've ever had. I spent the special celebration (although I am not fond of celebrating my birthday) with one of my friends in college, my high school friends and my office mates. We went island hopping in the neighboring island, Guimaras.

Our photos make me smile and the happy moment flashback on my mind every time I scan the particular photo album.

I transform personality when I take a dip in the sea. (This photo makes me smile)

I'm just kidding, it's my office-mate's daughter who borrowed my clothes since she forgot to bring swimsuit.
